We don't teach grammar.
We teach you to make sense of a language.
StepbyStep Language helps you understand how any language works by living with it: real sentences, real voices and methods that actually stick. Step by step, until you can say what you mean.
What we believe
Meaning before rules
You learn whole phrases the way people really say them, and you work out the patterns yourself. Understanding comes first; the rules follow on their own.
Real language, not textbook language
Everyday sentences, real videos, songs, movies and books. You hear the language as it lives, not as it looks in an exercise.
Made for speaking
Every method here exists to get you talking: how to read each phrase aloud, when to use it, and the confidence to say it.
You belong here if
You want to speak, understand people and feel at home in a new language.
This isn't for you if
You want grammar tables and rules to memorise. There are many good places for that. This is not one of them.
How it works
Each part of the site is one method. Use them together: take in real language, make sense of it, then prove it by using and teaching it.
1.Daily sentences
Open Daily sentencesPick a language and a topic and get everyday sentences, each with how to read it, its translation and an example. Save the ones you like, mark the ones you know, and hear them in a song.
Why it exists: Small, real pieces of a language are the fastest way in. Five useful sentences a day add up quickly.
2.Explore
Open ExploreChoose a subject and watch real conversation videos made for learners, ten per topic and language.
Why it exists: Your ear has to get used to real speed and real voices. Watching people talk about things you care about trains it.
3.Books
Open BooksUpload any book as a PDF and read it page by page. Every sentence is split into the phrases that carry its meaning, with how to say them, and translated into English.
Why it exists: Reading something you actually want to read keeps you going, and seeing phrases rather than single words teaches you how the language thinks.
4.Our Advice
Open Our AdviceThe YouTube channels, movies and series we recommend for each language, with a short note on why each is worth your time.
Why it exists: Learning happens most when you are enjoying yourself. These are the places to keep hearing the language between lessons.
5.Challenge
Open ChallengeTeach an AI student a topic until it is ready, then watch it take a test on what you taught. Your score and teaching time go on your profile.
Why it exists: You only really know something once you can teach it. Explaining a phrase to someone else fixes it in your own memory.
6.Our Apps
Open Our AppsOur other apps for learning languages, with a step-by-step look at how each one works.
Why it exists: Different moments call for different tools. These carry the same approach beyond this site.

The creator
Murad Gurbanzade
Murad Gurbanzade created StepbyStep Language around one idea: people learn a language by making sense of it, not by memorising its rules. Every page on this site is a method built to help you understand, speak and keep going, one step at a time.
